Burgers and Fries and Shakes...Oh my!: Blog Info

Blog Mission:

This blog was created out of a deep and abiding love of that greasy little treasure we call burgers. Although gaining much attention and notoriety as of late, burgers have been an icon of the American foodscape for generations. This blog will be dedicated to waxing nostalgic on burgers loved and lost, posting reviews of burger joints (good, bad, or otherwise), and reporting on the emerging developments on our burger planet.

Burger Reviews:

We remain open to reviewing anywhere that has a burger on the menu. While realizing that some places are better known for other offerings, we believe that if a burger is being served, it is open for judgement. While we will try to keep the focus of reviews on the food itself, a lot should be said for atmosphere. Not simply food, but location, decoration, staff, ownership, and presentation all meld into an experience which can sometimes be better than the sum of its individual parts.

I Believe You Mentioned Fries & Shakes (oh my):

Yes, we did. How very astute of you to point that out. Most of us never order a burger on its own. Fries and a drink, usually soda (pop for some of you), are the usual suspects. Shakes are a pretty standard upgrade. Plus, we really like fries and shakes...especially shakes...mmmmmm...<sigh> shakes. Where was I? Oh...right. Anyway, sides and beverages. They are incredibly important supporting cast members in this little production we call a meal, and they will be given their proper due whenever possible.

What of Other Delicious Things:

Good point. There are lots of delicious things in this world. We thoroughly enjoy many of them...sometimes to a disturbing degree. From time to time we may choose to mention some of these things to you, or create other blogs with a similarly narrow view of an iconic food item (We're lookin' at you, corndog!). If we do, we hope you will enjoy and support those endeavors as well.
